DMV Mobile Office to Serve Customers at the State Fair
After playing games and eating funnel cakes, Stop in to Renew your Driver's License and Decals

RICHMOND - The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles' mobile customer service center, called DMV 2 Go, will be at the State Fair of Virginia offering convenient service for customers.

In the midst of riding rides and eating funnel cakes, patrons attending the State Fair can take a moment to conduct DMV business.

On Thursday, October 6 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Friday, October 7 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., DMV 2 Go will be near the ticket booth at the main entrance in a location convenient to all customers coming in and out of the State Fair at the Meadow Event Park, located at 13111 Dawn Blvd. in the Doswell area of Caroline County.

The handicapped-accessible full service office can provide all DMV transactions including applying for and renewing driver's licenses and ID cards, knowledge tests are available, and applicants may get their pictures taken. Customers can order disabled parking placards or plates, and get vehicle titles, license plates and decals. If Virginians have recently moved, they can stop in to update their address on their DMV record, and also update their voter registration address and organ donor status. Customers can search for other state services through a wireless Virginia Internet portal.

"A mobile customer service center has been to the fair in years past with great success, and having it back there this year is an invaluable opportunity to serve Virginians," said Commissioner Richard D. Holcomb.

Customers are encouraged to research and bring the proper documents to complete their transactions by using the interactive document guide at www.dmvNOW.com.
