DMV Mobile Office Supplements Service in Highland and Bath Counties
Driver-related Transactions Available Outside Highland and Warm Springs DMV Selects

RICHMOND - The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles' mobile customer service center, called DMV 2 Go, will be in Highland and Bath Counties offering supplemental services at DMV Select locations.

On Tuesday, February 7 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. DMV 2 Go will be parked outside the Highland DMV Select at 165 West Main Street, Monterey, VA, 24465. The following day, Wednesday, February 8, DMV 2 Go will serve customers outside the Warm Springs DMV Select at the Bath County Courthouse from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 64 Courthouse Hill Road, Warm Springs, VA, 24484.

The handicapped-accessible full service office provides all DMV transactions including applying for and renewing driver's licenses and ID cards. Road and knowledge tests are available, and applicants may get their pictures taken.

DMV 2 Go will complement services already provided by the DMV Selects operated by Darlene Crummett, Commissioner of the Revenue, and Lois White, Treasurer in Highland, and Pamela Webb, Treasurer in Warm Springs. The 57 DMV Selects throughout the state provide an alternative to visiting a full-service DMV customer service center. DMV Selects are in convenient locations where customers may otherwise have to drive up to 30 miles to get to a customer service center.

"DMV Selects process a number of transactions including vehicle titles and registrations, license plates, and transcript requests, but DMV Selects do not issue driver's licenses, learner permits or ID cards, and that's where DMV 2 Go comes in," said DMV Commissioner Richard D. Holcomb. "Our mobile office will supplement the great work the DMV Selects are already doing."

Customers are encouraged to research and bring the required documents to complete their transactions. To determine what documents are needed, use the interactive document guide at
