South Boston Customer Service Center Closed for Repairs
Customers Encouraged to Go Online, Visit DMV 2 Go
RICHMOND - The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles South Boston Customer Service Center (CSC) at 2039 Hamilton Boulevard had to close unexpectedly on Wednesday afternoon, February 29, 2012 because of damage resulting from a storm.
The office will remain closed on Thursday, March 1 for repairs. The DMV 2 Go mobile office will be parked in front of the South Boston CSC on Thursday to provide all DMV services. Since DMV 2 Go will be providing emergency services in South Boston on Thursday, a previously planned mobile visit to the Meadowbrook Public Library in Montgomery County will be rescheduled soon.
Customers may also conduct business through DMV's website at www.dmvNOW.com where more than 31 transactions are available. DMV's automated telephone service at 1-888-337-4782 and the mail are also available options.
Customers who plan to visit the South Boston DMV office on Friday or beyond should check DMV's website for office closure updates. Or, customers may visit the AltaVista DMV office at 1301-H Main Street or the Danville CSC at 600 Cleveland Street.
