DMV Mobile Office Returns to Provide Service in Buena Vista
All DMV Services Available Outside Buena Vista Commissioner of the Revenue
RICHMOND - DMV's mobile customer service center, called DMV 2 Go, will return to provide all DMV services at the Municipal Building for the City of Buena Vista located at 2039 Sycamore Avenue Buena Vista, VA 24416 on Thursday, May 30 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the partnership between DMV and the Buena Vista Commissioner of the Revenue office will be held at 11 a.m. A number of local dignitaries are slated to attend.
The handicapped-accessible full service mobile office provides all DMV transactions including applying for and renewing driver's licenses and ID cards. Thanks to a partnership with the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (DGIF), customers can buy hunting and fishing licenses from DMV, just in time for summer. Road and knowledge tests are available, and applicants may get their pictures taken and complete vision screenings. Veterans can also apply for Virginia's veterans ID cards. DMV 2 Go is equipped with the latest wireless technology to provide secure service at virtually any location.
"We have visited Buena Vista in the past with great success, and we are excited to offer return service," said DMV Commissioner Richard D. Holcomb. During DMV 2 Go¿s last visit in October, staff conducted more than two dozen transactions. "This partnership helps fulfill our commitment to serve customers in a place convenient to them."
